Welcome to Year 3,
This page is to provide you with key information regarding Year 3 at Wilbury Junior School. If you are unsure about anything, please do come and speak to your child's class teacher or teaching partner.
The Year 3 teaching team consists of:
Mr Miller and Miss McCandless (Ruby Class).
Ms Chalmers and Mrs Cadwallader (Crimson Class).
We also have Mr Kelly who will be supporting across both classes.
Throughout our curriculum, we promote and support children in developing a growth mindset. This is where we ask all children to have a positive attitude towards everything that they do and that they always try their best. You can you use the link at the bottom of the page to find out more about our curriculum and what the children will be learning throughout the year.
The homework expectations are that you child reads at home at least five times a week and that their Reading Record is signed by an adult. Children should access Times Tables Rock Stars regularly in order to have around 1,000 coins by the end of the week. All homework should be completed and ready to be checked by Friday morning of each week.
Both classes in Year 3 have PE on a Thursday and Friday. Children can come to school in their PE Kits.The school PE kit is a red school jumper, white polo shirt, black shorts or black jogging bottoms with trainers (stud earrings should be taped or removed).

Year 4 Team
Aqua: Miss Bottazzi is the class teacher. Mrs Osei-Hyiaman is the teaching partner.
Azure: Miss Stacey and Mrs Ewen are the class teachers. Miss Chowles is the teaching partner.
Turquoise: Mr March is the class teacher. Mrs Stewart is the teaching partner.
Our PE days are:

Don’t forget to make sure you wear the correct PE kit to school on your PE days.

Homework Expectations
Our homework expectations are as follows: Children will need to read a minimum of five times per week, which will need to be recorded and signed by an adult in their reading record.
Children will need to ensure they reach their target for TTRS coins using Times Table Rockstars. All must be completed by a Friday, when adults will check this has been completed.
